Used in commercial and retail building projects, Cygnum Smart-Panel® systems are long span fully insulated, timber frame, closed wall and roof panels designed, manufactured and installed to clients requirements.
Building on the success and excellent reputation of Cygnum, the Smart-Panel® range was developed to cater for the increasing demand for low cost, sustainable, energy efficient solutions in large scale commercial and retail building projects.
The Cygnum Smart-Panel® system can be used as infill panels between steel/concrete and glulam frames (i.e. as wall and roof infill panels) or as a completely integrated structure eliminating the need for a costly structural frame.

Smart-Panel® Wall
A closed wall system, with an external a skin of structural sheathing board and breather paper is factory fitted and can then be clad in virtually any material required. As part of our process we are also happy to install the timber cladding.
Internally a skin of structural sheeting board, an airtight vapour control layer and service battens are factory fitted if required or, the panel can have a factory applied board that can be used as the finished surface or as a minimal finish/decoration solution.
Panels extend up to 12m high or can be used as horizontally spanning infill panels for spans of 6m and beyond.
Smart-Panel® Roof
A closed, full fill insulated warm roof panel or, a long span cassette cold roof solution to meet your requirements.
The closed full filled insulated roof panel uses an ‘intelligent’ vapour membrane in conjunction with an advanced ‘realistic calculation’ analysis method to prevent condensation risk. The panels are generally 12m long but can be made up to 18m long, with spans of 6m+ achievable using this method. A single ply roofing membrane can be factory applied if required and the joints simply ‘welded’ after installation.
The cold roof solution allows long single spans of 18m and beyond and eliminates the need for intermediate beams and increases frame and column centres.
Both roof panel solutions can have a factory or site applied finished soffit board or a decorative timber 3-ply board/plywood finish.
Smart-Panel® Retail
Has been developed specifically for and in conjunction with the retail sector, and incorporates factory/site fitted timber/Trespa cladding and a Fermacell internal finished board to the wall panels. The roof panels can also have a finished soffit board applied as specified and required by the end-user client or their Architect. |
